Going along with everyone else in bloggerland, I decided it was time for a change. Well, the truth is my husband asked me if I would try going back more blonde. (I had very blonde hair when we first started dating, then the past few years I have kept it my natural color.) I told him I would get some highlights - he’s paying anyways, so why not?! lol. I also decided it was time to get a “big girl haircut.” I cut off almost 10 inches of hair. My hair was down to my waist - yes, that college look. Now, it’s more professional and managable. I have to say, sometimes I miss it (like in the shower and when I’m brushing it). However, other times I think it’s so much better to have this length of hair (like when I’m blowing it dry). The layers are a lot of fun to mess around with, too. Overall, I’m glad you blogging girls gave me the courage to follow my hubby’s request. Here are the requisite before and after pictures:

The color looks great on you!
I’ve been high-lighting my hair for so long now that I don’t think I even remember what my natural color is! Everyone always comments how my hair is the same color as Katya’s and how cool that is. I just smile, but — note to self — keep the blond highlights.

Love the color! It really brightens up your face. I’ve had the same hairstyle since I was in middle school; you may have just inspired me to try a change; of course, there is only so much I can do since my hair is so thick and straight. I might give it a shot though!

Your hair looks great! If you saved your hair, you should think about donating it to Locks of Love. I cut mine off about 5 years ago and sent it to them. They are a great organization.
